Why train with us?

·    Our training centre is certified by the Scottish Qualifications Authority as an approved SQA centre and our instructors have all been certified as SQA approved assessors. For students doing our 1, 2 and 4 week courses this means you can be assured that our centre has been approved by a national body and we provide training of the highest standard.

·    Our training is provided in large 16 metre square bays with each student having their own bay and full set of training tools and equipment. One to one tuition is provided alongside group lectures and tutorials. Our courses are structured so that each student has sufficient time to carry out tasks and is given the required attention from our instructors.

·    We don’t believe in dry laying! Tiling is done using specially formulated training adhesive allowing you to perfect laying techniques. Our courses are delivered in real-life environment to provide the best possible training.

·   We provide training on preparing backgrounds before tiling. There is no need to attend a separate course.

·    Lectures and demonstrations on under floor heating and self-leveling is provided by industry professionals. We can also arrange for our specialist to help you with your first under floor heating job at no extra charge.

·    Along with the technical aspects of tiling we provide advice on obtaining work, pricing jobs, customer service and business start up. We provide a complete package to give you all of the skills and knowledge to start a career as a skilled and successful tiler. We can assist you in setting up a trade account and you can take advantage of our in-house web site design service.

·    On completion you will receive an extensive Training Manual covering technical aspects and business start – up along with a BAL technical tiling booklet.

·    Our training does not end when your course is complete. We offer continued support through our help line. Students are also free to pop in at any time for advice or simply to talk through a job.

·    All of our students can return to the school at any time to re-attend lectures and tutorials. Here at the school we have created a community where students can always return and we have established long-term relationships with many of our students. We will always be pleased to see you!

·    Our students can set up an account and receive trade discount at various tile stores. This s invaluable when you start working.

·    You can also buy tools at very competitive discount prices with advice from our instructors.
